Open BIM

We work with open standards and following OpenBIM principles. In BIM, we start by creating a model using
a commercial modelling software. Here we are working in a native, or proprietary format, but at some stage
we want to share our model with the project team. If we issue the native model, the receiving party must have
the same or compatible software to view it. They can also make changes to the model without our knowing. However, if we publish the model in an open exchange format, like IFC, the model data is freely viewable measurable and usable…we are in openBIM.

IFC.js
- A BIM toolkit for JavaScripts, you are able to load, display and edit IFC models directly in the browser
- An open BIM application created with IFC.js has negligible impact on the final weight of the application
- IFC.js is compatible with any platform whether Windows, Mac or Linux
- Able to retrieve IFC properties for reports and dashboards, edit and write IFC files from scratch
